Will digital marketplaces gain traction in chemicals?

Ali Amin-Javaheri, co-founder and CEO of chemical digital marketplace Knowde, joins the podcast to discuss how digital marketplaces are gaining traction in the chemical sector.

"We've seen the success of marketplaces across every sector imaginable," Amin-Javaheri said. "It would be shortsighted to think that our industry is any different."

Knowde drew attention to the potential of digital marketplaces in chemicals when it raised $72 million in Series B funding from several leading Silicon Valley venture capital firms in August 2021. He assesses growing digital adoption in chemicals, gaining the confidence of buyers and suppliers after fits and starts on earlier internet platforms, and how VC firms view investment in the chemical sector.
