S&P Global acquires World Hydrogen Leaders

Today, we announced the acquisition of World Hydrogen Leaders, an award-winning provider of hydrogen-related events and conferences globally. This exciting acquisition demonstrates our commitment to advancing hydrogen markets worldwide. The acquisition arrives at a pivotal moment in the hydrogen landscape. According to projections by S&P Global Commodity Insights, hydrogen supply is on a trajectory to nearly triple by 2050, according to S&P Global Commodity Insights, from 2023's 95 million metric tons (mmt) to 114 mmt in 2030 and 256 mmt in 2050.Hydrogen is one of the key pathways to energy transition and global decarbonization goals. World Hydrogen Leaders host an impressive array of eight annual in-person events worldwide, alongside 20 virtual events each year. Its conferences attract more than 5,000 annual attendees, headlined by World Hydrogen Week with over 1,500 attendees. This addition of World Hydrogen Leaders robust conference portfolio seamlessly integrates with S&P Global’s Commodity Insights division, enriching our existing conferences business and bolstering our hydrogen-related product offerings.
